Reaction speed test tool
Reaction speed
Reaction speed refers to the ability of the human body to respond quickly to various signal stimuli (sound, light, touch, etc.).
People usually assess an athlete's reaction ability by measuring the reaction time, that is, the time it takes for the athlete to respond to the signal stimulus. The reaction speed of athletes to specific signals should be measured according to the characteristics of different events. For example, in racing events such as sprinting and swimming, athletes mainly receive auditory signals to start the competition, while table tennis players mainly receive visual signals to make technical and tactical responses.
Influencing Factors of Reaction Speed
Reaction speed mainly depends on the characteristics of a person's receptors (vision, hearing) and other analyzers, as well as the coordination relationship between the central nervous system and neuromuscular. Reaction speed quality is greatly affected by genetic effects. For example, the reaction time of people who have not undergone specialized training is usually between 0.2 and 0.3 seconds, while a well-trained athlete can only reach 0.1 to 0.2 seconds. Therefore, during the training process, the improvement range of reaction speed is very small.
